Alex Seel:

A contemporary twist on the 70s British Folk Revival singer/guitarist, Alex Seel has a growing reputation as a solo performer as well as one half of the folk duo Seel & Sanders.

Through his wanderings, Alex has picked up a gutsy, finger-picked acoustic guitar style and finely crafted, poetic and diverse song-writing trait.  Inspirations range from eccentric characters in ordinary life, to a metaphorical mole in the ground, to love in hard times, to gratitude and loss.

With 3 albums and 2 EPs released, Seel has built a steady following and reputation from folk clubs, radio play (BBC6) and interest from home & abroad. He has also supported Graham Parker and Clive Carrol among others. career spanning decades, he has released 15 solo albums, each showcasing his ability to weave narratives that touch on history, social issues, and the human spirit. His music has been described as “intelligent song writing of the highest calibre” and has earned him accolades such as Soloist of the Year at the Folking.com Awards.

Robert Lane:

Robert Lane is a musician, songwriter and actor based in the UK. He has toured extensively and released four albums. His most recent album Homeworking  was described by Fatea Magazine as “one of the best, and certainly most enjoyable albums of the year.

Amy Goddard:

A busy end of 2024 look to be leading into an even busier start to 2025 for Hampshire based singer-songwriter Amy Goddard. The first single, “Put Out The Lights” featured the Oysterband’s Alan Prosser, whilst the track you’ll hear previewed on the FMS, “Singing In The Darkness” sees her collaborating with Reg Meuross.

Giving a nod towards some the artists that have influenced her over the years is a new addition to her approach to music though there have been covers on previous albums, always including a John Stewart song, a tradition that continues on that new album, “Dawn”

That collaboration also reflects another string Amy has added to her bow, taking on the role of a songwriter mentor/coach, with current technology allowing her to have pupils many miles from home. It’s also partly a two way process that has seen her looking at her own songs in a different light, something we explored more of in the interview.

You can find out more about Amy in her interview with FATEA magazine. AMY GODDARD INTERVIEW LINK
